MT Storm Firemans Carnival

The Mt Storm Volunteer Fire Department Firemans Carnival is July 15th – 17th
Thursday Activities – Crowning of the Fire Queen and Baby Contest Winners, Friday – Music By Travis Minnick, Saturday – Firemens Parade – 6pm – Lineup begins at 4:30pm.

Food, Fun, and Games for all ages.
Cub Scout Pack 25 Visits The MT STORM Fire Company

The Mount Storm, Bayard, and Elk Garden Cub Scouts Pack 25 had a "Go See It" activity at the Mt. Storm Volunteer Fire Company on Monday, March 15, 2010. Cub Scouts in attendance were Zack Colebank, Matthew Lambka, Dalton Lowe, Trevor Seabolt, Kobey Hawk, Caleb Evans. The Cub Scouts were accompanied by their parents and Cub Scout Leaders.
Chief Jim Idleman, Deputy Chief Donald Burgess, and Lieutenant Jeff Kitzmiller hosted the event. Pack 25 toured the station and fire apparatus, learned about the equipment, and had the opportunity to blow the siren and air-horns on Engine Rescue 150.

The Mt. Storm Volunteer Fire Company extends an invitation to anyone wanting to tour our station and learn about the fire service.

MT STORM Recieves AFG Grant

The Mt Storm Volunteer Fire is pleased to announce Today, They received an Assistance to Firefighters Grant for the amount of $49,638.00. Thier cost share is $2612.00 which brings the total grant project to $52,250.00. The grant was awarded to purchase turnount gear and a turnout washer/extractor. This grant drastically improves firefighter safety and will outfit all of Mt. Storm's firefighters with the proper turnout gear. This is the second Assistance to Firefighters Grant that Mt. Storm VFD has received. In 2003 they received an AFG for $117,000 to purchase new extrication equipment, SCBA's, fire hose, and other small equipment.
Engine Rescue 150 In Service

The Mt Storm Volunteer Fire is pleased to announce they have placed into service their new Engine Rescue. The unit designated Engine Rescue 150 was placed in service Tuesday February 16, 2010 around 1800 Hrs.

Station 150 Awaiting New Engine Rescue

The Mt Storm Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce the purchase of their new Engine Rescue. Engine Rescue 150 will be the units designation. The due delivery date is February 12, 2010. This unit is currently in production and is a 4 Guys, Inc Spartan Metro Star chassis.

Today we operate out of a much newer and larger station located 1 mile east of the old Station on Route 50
